The Agreement contains the replacement of current cable detectors and expand the number in order to equip all intermediate and advanced search units with the same cable detector and to improve the capacity to detect (command) wires. Since the Dutch armed forces have been dealing with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) during conflicts - the engineers have been responsible for detecting and identifying IEDs and Explosive Threat (ET).
