The scope of this Contract for the Sputtering tool includes the following: For the execution of high-level scientific research within the Zernike Institute for Advanced Materials - the availability of an advanced sputter deposition system is essential. This equipment enables the fabrication of high-quality thin films from a wide range of materials - including metals - alloys and insulating materials. Such thin films are essential for a broad range of research activities in the fields of nanotechnology - materials science and functional systems. The intended sputtering system will be integrated into the existing facilities of the Zernike Nanolab and must be suitable for use within a shared academic research environment.
