# Reason and purpose market consultation The Netherlands is procuring twelve H225M Caracal helicopters to support Special Operations. The H225M Caracal will be operated by a minimum crew of two (2) pilots and two (2) loadmaster/gunners. The H225M Caracal will primarily be used as a SOF Air asset to support the Netherlands Special Forces and will also be used for other utility type missions in support of the Netherlands armed forces.
