Market consultation EDX and EBSD

The University of Groningen (RUG) intends to purchase an upgrade for the existing EBSD camera currently installed on the Thermo Fisher NovaNanoSEM 650 - and install a new EDX/EBSD setup on the Thermo Fisher Helios G5 CX. The replacement EBSD detector must be fully compatible with the existing EDX setup currently installed on the NovaNanoSEM 650 microscope. The EBSD camera will replace the current - outdated camera and integrate with the existing EDAX-EDX unit. Furthermore - a new software package (EDAX OIM Matrix) will be purchased to allow users to simulate EBSD patterns based on the physics of dynamical diffraction of electrons.
