# Background and purpose of the tender The reason for this tender is the expiry of the current framework agreement for transport of coins and the current framework agreement for international transport of valuables. This is why DNB has decided to start a competition for the international transport of coins and (semi-finished) banknotes and to enter into new Framework Agreements.
