Energy consumption testing of household appliances

# Description of the notification and requirements The NVWA is responsible for market surveillance of the energy labelling requirements for household appliances on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. This responsibility is laid down in Regulation (EU) 2017/1369 establishing a framework for energy labelling. As part of its market surveillance activities - the NVWA verifies compliance by suppliers and dealers with the applicable energy labelling requirements. In addition - physical testing is performed to determine the energy consumption and other relevant resource consumption of household appliances and to verify the accuracy of the values declared on the energy label.
