The above-ground facility of Geothermal Wippolderlaan project includes one 20 MW doublet and forms the next link in the heat network of Westland (WnW) - representing a crucial step in the development of a largely HVC-operated system of heat sources in the Westland area - supplying heat to greenhouse companies and private consumers. Additionally - the Alton geothermal project is HVC’s fifth geothermal project and the first project outside the Westland region - located in the province of North Holland. The project is being developed in the Alton greenhouse horticulture area in the municipality of Dijk en Waard and will be connected to HVC’s existing district heating network.
