Bonaire Bon Transition B.V. (BBT) - established in April 2021 and fully owned by the Dutch state - is tasked with ensuring a reliable energy supply for Bonaire. This includes providing energy for living - working - and leisure activities. The Client’s mission is to store common fuels safely on the island and facilitate the transition to a sustainable energy supply. This includes maintaining adequate fuel supplies for electricity generation - mobility - air travel - and clean drinking water production. The energy supply must be reliable - affordable - safe - and increasingly sustainable. Currently - Bonaire’s energy infrastructure is inadequate - with storage facilities either unavailable or non-compliant with regulations.
