Atmospheric Stability Profile campaign

RVO (Netherlands Enterprise Agency) intends to issue an invitation to tender for the acquisition and analysis of Atmospheric Stability Profile data at two offshore locations in the North Sea. The aim of this study is to get insight in the stability of the Atmospheric Boundary Layer (ABL) by means of vertical measurements of temperature and humidity. ABL behaviour has been identified as a critical parameter in determining wake characteristics of turbines and wind farms - which influences the Annual Energy Yield and in turn the business case of wind farms.
